Amanda Hetzler is from Leesville, Louisiana. At the age of 17, Amanda entered into the Air National Guard as a Security Forces member. After her time in the Air Force, she went to the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, Florida where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Social Welfare in 2009. It was during her time in undergraduate school that she worked as a Supported Living Coach for adults with both acquired and developmental disabilities. With this position, she was exposed to the wonderful world of Occupational Therapy which prompted continued education and a career in Occupational Therapy. Amanda attended the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in St. Augustine, Florida. There, she obtained her Masters of Occupational Therapy in 2013 and Doctorate of Occupational Therapy in 2019. Amanda successfully completed her CHT exam on her first attempt in 2018 utilizing the study method in this planner for 12 months prior to taking the exam.
